Founded in April of 2021 by nine visionary business owners and one dedicated mentor, the Columbia African American Business Alliance (CAABA) was born from a powerful idea: when business owners collaborate, extraordinary things happen. Our journey began with a shared commitment to fostering longevity, growth, and success within the minority-owned business community in Mexico, Missouri, and beyond. We are driven by the belief that through pooled resources, education, and strong community ties, we can create a future where every minority-owned business thrives.
Our story: The CAABA journey

Our foundation: Where collaboration sparks greatness
CAABA was formed when nine business owners came together with a singular vision: to create something truly great. We are committed to pushing businesses forward by pooling our collective resources, providing invaluable education, and strengthening community bonds. Our primary focus is on empowering minority-owned businesses, helping them achieve longevity and prosperity, and ultimately closing the wealth gap that many minorities face.

Building for the future:
Our work is guided by a strong set of core beliefs: longevity, endurance, strategic planning, networking, and relationship building. These principles are not just words; they are the foundation of everything we do. We believe that by focusing on these pillars, we can equip businesses with the tools they need to not only survive but thrive for generations. We foster an environment where enduring relationships are built, leading to sustained success for all our members.
"CAABA has been instrumental in the growth of my business. The support, resources, and networking opportunities have been invaluable, allowing me to scale beyond what I thought possible. They genuinely care about minority-owned businesses!"
